How much does a professionally designed website cost?
There are three types of expenses involved in setting up, building & marketing a website.
INFRASTRUCTURE: Website domain, hosting, security & email
To setup a website, you need to purchase a domain (www.example.com) and web hosting, which is the service that stores the files for your website. Additionally, if you want an email such as firstname.lastname@example.org, email hosting will be required. If you have any confidential information, such as customers’ credit card info, being submitted through the website, then an SSL Certificate will be required for security purposes. Hosting expenses are typically an annual expense.
CREATION: Web development, design & content generation
Web design & development costs consist of the labor and purchases required to code and format the content on the web pages of your website.
SUPPORT & MARKETING: Online marketing, & website support
Marketing and maintenance services are used to drive traffic to your website and ensure everything on the site is functioning properly. Marketing and maintenance services are typically packaged into a monthly or quarterly fee.
